It may not be a high end collector grade rifle, but it still is all matching numbers (well, aside of cleaning rod which is serialized "35") and aside of a cleaned stock otherwise pretty untouched. Note this is an extremely early rifle from this year, it is in the no-letter block.
Finally, very tough to make out in person (and even tougher to picture!), it seems this rifle carries a name on it. I cannot tell if this was the soldiers name who originally carried it, but I wouldn't outrule it as well. Someone also once tried to remove this, but it still is partially visible. Can't tell for sure what it reads, but to me it looks like A. Kuhne, but very well could also be A. Kunne, A. Künne or A. Kühne. I added one picture where I tried to draw the letters to make it better visible what I'm referring to.
Wasn't it prohibited to soldiers to put their names on the rifles?
