Issues with Accessing/Viewing Older Posts

Ran into this issue yesterday and never experienced it before. Will post the URL to the thread in which I have explained the problems:

https://www.k98kforum.com/showthread.php?44776-42-ASW-scabbard-with-frog

This is the URL to the earlier post (but imagine it affects several others as well):

http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread....tropical+frogs

http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread...Tropical-Frog&highlight=German+tropical+frogs

Even more strange is the above link can be at least be accessed from the first URL to the Bayonets and Accessories Forum. However if I try to access it from this page, I get the 404 ERROR page instead. Any assistance would be appreciated...

The issue is your link is shortened - look at the actual address of it "http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread....tropical+frogs" <---- That is what is there, with the 4 dots. The link in your post is an actual abbreviated link, but you copied the short version.

I took the original URL from a MS Notepad list with links to the 5 in-depth articles I wrote. Also copied and pasted the one from the header of the page with the article. No matter whether I post them exactly as copied or click on the URL icon and paste the link to add it to the page, they all display in the abbreviated form the moment I save the page. However, after screwing around with this awhile, noticed the link in the header started with "WWW" on the article page. When I put my cursor on it, noticed it read http://. So, tried adding https:// before the WWW & boom...the page came up as it used to with no issues. Will go back to my MS doc and add that "s" to all the links. Thanks for the help!
