I'm Philippe Aubé, a new member from Montreal. My main field of interest is late war K98k's. I was a very active collector in the 1990's and an early Karabiner Collector's Network (KCN) member. At one point I had managed to get a sample K98k from every factory that was still producing K98's in 1945 including a VG-1 and VK98. All were vet bringbacks. But when my kids were born I had to divert my attention to other matters and sold off most of my collection. I still kept a few K98's though: a SVW 45 ''a'' block, a SVW MB (full kriegsmodell config. but with French Star proof - ''c'' block) and a SWP 45 with fixed sheet metal rear sight (''a'' block). Now I am considering getting back into the K98 collecting field and what better place to start than on this forum. Cheers! Phil
