Its possible You have a Kriegsmarine piece inventory marked N8172 for Nordsee, any pictures?I have my own question for this group. I have a W.K.C marked blade with no other markings paired with a scabbard marked W.K.C. with 1937 below that and N8172 below that. The front of the scabbard is stamped 5609 with what looks like a lower case j if that makes sense. Is it possible these are matched? Grips are dark bakelite marked 57 as is the blade and flash guard.
