You don’t mind collecting mismatched examples?
I had one, but it just didn’t satisfy me ..

Your bayonet has been refurbished. The bluing is not period original. The stampings on the crossguard are indicative of non-German reissue.

Bayonet itself like mentioned correctly by Slash is yugoslavian refurbishment, frog and scabbard could be ok. hard to say wout details of scabbard mouth area. date should be on the blade spine near crossguard of bayonet.

Thanks guys , it's nice to know what I have , I had no idea it was a yugo rework , but I still like it , and it still holds it's spot in the collection

My W.K.C

I have my own question for this group. I have a W.K.C marked blade with no other markings paired with a scabbard marked W.K.C. with 1937 below that and N8172 below that. The front of the scabbard is stamped 5609 with what looks like a lower case j if that makes sense. Is it possible these are matched? Grips are dark bakelite marked 57 as is the blade and flash guard.

The yugoslavians refurbished german made bayonets

I have a couple of Yugoslavian refurbished bayonets. I enjoy having captured items in my collection, it adds more history to the item. Thank you for sharing your bayonet, it's a nice one and the frog looks to be in good condition.
