KM Dsm34?

Repo Field Gear Collector
Of course it’s murdered, but check this out. A friend of mine pulled a bunch of small bores out and this caught my eye.

to be honest I cant make out either mark well enough to make a call either way.. stock stamp to me is suspect. the other no clue what it is ??? :)

I know nothing about trainers but thought I would add my 2 cents via meme.

Well it was stamped before someone completely cut it down and sanded it, so that would certainly be odd. It’s also marked to Landau.

It’s a Geco dsm with all the correct nomenclature and bottom metal etc, it was simply sportered.

Did you see the Jap paratrooper rifle with KM markings that just appeared? Very similar eagle.

I did, it’s similar but not the same. It definitely could be fake, maybe that’s why someone sporterized it, thought it was fake junk.

That was a great thread. He thought he was going to make a brand new account and saunter in with that piece of crap and fluff it for some upcoming auction. Yea, that plan went south. I grabbed the pictures and took some screen shots, just in case you he deletes them. I’ll post them up here later.

boy they are both crisp,

the DSM stock has a dark satin around the proof, halo as the metal stamp guys would call it. but that could be faked. I would expect to see that staining ( oil) in all the wood cuts (crevice's)

that crisp after 70 plus years from a used rifle? I could see that on the mint G-41 that was posted yesterday,

just questions & observations

Where was the G41 posted, didn’t see one yesterday? Just rhetorically, there are a lot of rifles with very crisp markings especially in walnut. The dsm may very well be fake, it was sanded over hard after it’s application clearly, but this still doesn’t make it real. No telling what transpired over all these years, it could simply be a sporterized fake.
