Random forum help

I’m sorry if this isn’t in the right place and definitely not interesting but I need some help. Just recently I’ve noticed that the forum is not showing uploaded photos but instead only showing the jpg/link to photos. So I now have to click on each individual link for every pic. New forum posts seem to be alright but the big one for me is in the picture reference where no photos are showing. Also i am being asked to login again every time I click on a photo link in the reference index. Is there a setting that got switched or anyone else having this problem? I would appreciate any help on this.

I’ve been having the same problem for most of January. SOMETIMES, as happened a couple of days ago, I’m able to click on those links and NOT have to re-log in, but images are still showing as links only. I lustily looked at pix for over an hour, but it sure is tedious not being able to scroll using the ‘next’ button.

Granted that in my case it may be an ‘old technology’ issue, as my ipad is older, & desktop as well, phone has keyboard. My phone is incapable, my desktop displays the photos normally, my primary issue is when using the ipad, may be related to software updates I haven’t installed.

Change the link from "http:// to https://" Maybe one day a moderator will update all the links.

Yea, we have to update the links. I’m doing it as I have time.

Well I’m on a newer iPhone and it is still giving me those problems

Forgive me but I’m not all that tech savvy. Change what link and where? Lol. The weird part is that it is doing it now but never did before.

In the address bar at the top of your screen where you type the website you want to go to. You may have to double click on it to see the whole thing but it probably will say "http://www.k98kforum.com" and you can add the s there to get "https://www.k98kforum.com"

Interesting, I've never experienced that before. Just to verify the links aren't changing to http you may want to go to one one the sticky reference threads and make sure in the thread the link has the https where you're having the issue. That may have been what you already tried though!

Alright so correction, you were right. I went into some references and did change it to https and it worked but it seems like I have to do that on every reference I look at now.

Yeah they had done some security updates recently which makes the links be https. Almost all of those links are from before the change over. MrFarb said earlier he's going to have to go through all of them and update them. Well I'm glad it worked for you and you can see the reference material!

Hey thanks for the help. At least this way I can get an overview without going through every link. Thanks again!

I’ll have one of the other mods help me, we’ll update them all this weekend.

I know I would appreciate that and hopefully anyone else with the same problem will appreciate it as well. Thank you!
