Any have or know of where one can buy a stock for a kar88 rifle? The barrel is 28" long and the rcvr has Schuller suhl 1891 with an s. The barrel shroud has been cut back.
Thanks for any help you guys can give.

New made stocks are available from a gentleman in Poland, goggle "Fox stocks". I have one and they are very well made. Replacing or repairing the barrel jacket could be a problem. Can you post pictures of what is missing?

Fox stocks are very good indeed Runner, but a Fox stock might be a bit too rich for a "sporterized" job like this. From the sound of things, it'll need a fair amount of restoration before it'll qualify for wood like that. Let's see what the pictures look like.

I have looked at Fox and I agree they are really too good for this build, at least till I get real desperate
thanks

Anyone have any info on the previous pictures?
On the left side of the reciever there is kar 88 stamped
Along with the images in the pictures
Thanks for your help

Hard to tell just what you have with those photos . A carbine receiver with a rifle barrel installed . The remains of an old sporter put together ? Are there any markings on the barrel ? Do you have a complete bolt ?
If those are all the parts you have there is not much to work with and it would be a lot cheaper just to buy a complete rifle . Depending on what the barrel is and it's condition , you have about $ 50.00 worth of parts .

Thanks for the response, the rcvr and barrel shroud have the same sn 1145, I will get some better pics later of the barrel.
I like building of these old guns, and have done with a couple of old arisaka t38 and t99, m1903 Springfield, and a couple of Turkish mausers. Anybody can buy a gun, what fun is that.
Anyway thanks for the info.
