Gentlemen, one of my older references suggests that WaA’s 63, 135, 655, S/147 and 147 are correct on parts that went into KAR98ks assembled by J.P. Sauer u. Sohn.

Which of these might be encountered on a firing pin in a CE41? My m/m pin is marked “655”, and I was wondering whether this ‘ampt would be right for ‘41.

Many thanks,

Richie

Thanks, that would make sense. The rifle's cocking piece and bolt shroud wear an e/37. But if I remember correctly, some other parts that are numbered to the rifle bear a "359". So I wondered if my firing pin had a correct 'ampt, at least.

Your refernce s incorrect. WaA's 63, 135 and 655 are Mauser Oberndorf (S/42, 42,byf)proofs primarily and NOT for J.P. Sauer which used many different WaA's from 1934-45 but as stated above, a CE41 would have e/37 proofs.
