Can anyone give me some insight on this Zeiss Scope?

I came across this scope, optics look good and the controls funtion properly. Any idea of the vintage and usage of this scope? My understanding is that these were mounted on K98.

This is a commerical Zeiss Zielsechs scope.

Yes , the Zeiss Zielsech/6X scopes were used on german sniper rifle , the 2 types that are known with 100% certainty would be Low Turret and Long Side Rail rifles . As Georg pointed out your particular scope is a commercial scope .
