Hello again,

Second post and now with some extra pictures.
Hopefully someone will respond and can tell me something about the markings on this gun.
I tried to take beter pictures but the condition of the gun is not to great. It is a cool looking one and i am keeping it in my collection.
I know it is made by Steyr but thats it..

If you have any info please let me know.

Thanks,

Kris

I can barely see what is going on, but a few things I can tell you. The rifle is an SS contract bnz43 rifle, made by Steyr for the SS. I can tell that because the receiver has the large font "bnz 43" which was used exclusively by them in the SS contract. Also, the serial number lacks a suffix. The barrel code is familiar as well - you focus in on it on top to the barrel -I can't make it out, and I can't remember which company used that code.

Thank you Mrfarb!

The weapon was found near Groesbeek.
The 10 ss panzerdivision was there, also 2nd regiment panzergrenadier.
Maybe they left it?
We will never know, and sadly the gun is not in the best of shape.
It cycles round and makes for a very cool display.
Thank you very much for your response ,learned something today👍🏻
