    Another bring home trophy from WWII. Hoping I can learn from folks on here about it. FXO Mag does not match but all other numbers do.

    Yes, a rework. Can you post a closer photo of the right side of the receiver? It has HZa acceptance but I can't make it out. Probably Ingolstadt but a better pic would confirm.

    Yours also has the Circle S whose meaning is unknown. IMO probably an early 20s depot inspection, but no one knows for sure what it is.

    the whole S thing is interesting for sure... These topics are great so glad Mike decided to add these to the forum !!

    Here is a better pic of right side proofs. A local Luger person thinks the S represents a Simson rework. How do place a value in these odd variations?
