Hi everyone, I am looking to purchase this k98 sniper. I looked at the pics as best I could and to me it looks all original, but weather or not the rifle is an original sniper is hard to determine based on the pictures I have received.

High turret sniper rifle converted at Orbendorf with WaA 135 marking on rear mount. No marks on scope rings. Scope is H/4 x 60 ZF39 system. Matching serial numbers on metal parts including floor plate and trigger guard. Laminated stock, cupped buttplate, stamped trigger guard, number on front band does not match serial number of rifle. Numbers on stock (behind wrist and in barrel channel) do not match the serial number of the rifle. Bore is very good. Overall clean and well cared for rifle.

Im looking to make a deal based on closer inspection its not to my liking I can return it but heres preliminary photos.

No its not a Period Original Turret . Its a reproduction/representative example , put together PW .

Yeah the turrets dont have any machining marks on them and look polished new. You need a case of beer for your help!

I've seen this very particular rifle recently. It was asked upon on a forum. Either anyway this one, or on gunboards. Anyway, it is a nice faux rifle, but nothing more.
