1917 Erfurt Kar98a HZaJt3 rebarrel

Here is a really neat Kar98a that went threw a Nazi era depot. I picked this up off GB with a very reasonable BIN threw a lead from another member here. He knew I was looking for a good 98a with Nazi era depot work. More than two eyes is always good! It looks to me that the Ingolstadt depot work consisted of a rebarrel, and bolt and butt plate being blued. The follower is also a bolt hold open type. The stock is a duffle cut and the front section consist of pieces that are non numbers matching. Both bands, the stacking rod and the bayonet lug do not match but are good replacements. Likely all lost from the duffle cut. Other non matching parts are the front sight blade and the rear trigger guard screw and the hand guard. Everything else matches. If you want to see something not photoed, please ask and I will provide.

Nice looking rework Jory! Glad you snagged it. I 100% agree this was a duffelcut fix with a lost forend and looks like they did a nice job.
