As I slowly upgrade my very small K98 collection, I was able to pick up a nice bolt m/m 1936 S/42. It came in very nice condition, with a little bit a honest wear, but no major issues aside from the M/M bolt.
After reading more thoroughly through Volume 1, I did notice two differences from the examples in the text. The first is the Mod 98 appears in lower case instead of capital letters. Was this change made at the end of 1936? The other is the stock has an extra waffenamp underneath the takedown disk. Was this also started at the end of 1936 or was this possible added later? The stock is numbers matching to the rifle. Any comments or insight are appreciated.
