So I’m late to this.

But that’s the Markes & Co. company maker mark, they stamped it on gurttrommels that were made in their Lüdenscheid factory.

My mother was born and grew up only 10k or so from Lüdenscheid. Still have family there and have visited many times. I hadn't realized earlier in life how much they'd mobilized the industry there for the war effort.

Yeah they ramped up just about anything that could make military equipment.

I’m pretty sure Markes and Co is still around, i don’t think they’re big or anything these days though. Granted they weren’t huge then either i don’t believe.
