Looking for some info an value on a model 98, byf 43 8mm Mauser

Its been sporterized, so much of the value is gone. You might want to post this the "Nazi period" section by the way, you may get better responses.

I'd leave as is personally. Blasphemy but I like the hand checkering on the stock. This will be a great hunter/shooter. The handguard retainer appears to be untouched so you could add new wood, bands, bayonet lug and make a WW2 looking rifle again. I think it looks great as is especially with the hardwood stock
