New 44sgx variant

M1903A3

Keeper of the Def's Head
So I got an offer to buy this at a 37% discount. I told him it wasn’t what was advertised. He bought it thinking it WAS a rare and valuable “44sgx.”

Slash do you have this variant noted? Haha

I believe it’s still available, if anyone needs this variant.

most real read error, the clc1942 are good, anyway matching and not missmatch as here, but never reach a value of 44sgx on market.

Nope, don't have this one. It is rare to find a 44sgx made by R. Herder and marked clc1942

The collection has been just sitting since I retired and moved, but I still have 14 open squares (missing examples) on my matrix, so I guess it is time to start looking again.

I am always looking for S84/98 III bayonets, glad your matrix is back up. There are several new bayonet collectors here that need to see your impressive collection. If you have not kept up with prices on S84/98 III`s, you might be in for a shock.

As grimlin13 mentioned, I keep a matrix posted online. A link is included at the bottom of each of my posts (Collection). I keep it posted so I can confirm needs and condition in case I run across a bayonet in the wild.

In 2010 I made the crazy decision to collect one example of each year/maker. I also try to grab known variants, (44 fnj/can, 41 asw/ab, 41i straight and slanted date codes, all the different 41crs variants, and as many others as I could find).

The matrix is a copy of Arnaud’s (k98.free.fr) compiled to fit on one page.

From the beginning, I knew I would not find primo examples of each year/maker so I decided to grab any example as long as it was complete and serials matched. In many cases I wind up with 2 or 3 examples as I upgrade.

Hello Unutt
I am glad to see you back on this forum.
I was worried that something might happen to you.
