the surface is too smooth and the center bend lever is a dead giveaway. Even though a lever can be changed and exterior of an original smoothed.. The waffenampt typically is graphically off as well.
The are more little nuances to tell a fake from real but these are the major points to look for.

here are two photos of a real 214 mount. most were issued and will have ser #. finding a 214 mount is very hard to do. Finding a real un numbered mount near impossible..

Yeah, I have original 214 mounts myself. Just had a tough time with that mount in my starting post. Thanks for going into detail.
Seems these are now everywhere around. Just found this listing which seems to have a 214 mount too: https://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=17965096 (btw, can anyone confirm/deny the serial on this rifle is original or not? It is weird, being 80 and no digit, font looks too small and wrong to me).

I’d say repro. However, I only have one original mount. I have been watching and learning here as well. Thanks for posting and for the education here.
I think the mount itself has potential to be real but these pictures really suck. It appears to be a early/mid dual number. And someone may have refinished it? I know one thing, I wouldn't buy it based off these pictures.

Agreeing with the consensus here. Although the images are poor and too few I think the mount itself stands a very good chance. Hardware is replacement stuff.
I would guess that it was in somewhat relic condition (note the overall surface deficiencies to include the acceptance stamp barely being legible--not to mention the serials).
The original hardware was too far gone and the mount itself brushed/cleaned in some manner then re-blued/refinished in an effort to save it. That would explain a lot.
Still a desirable piece, but should be priced with those deficiencies in mind
unless of course you have the matching serial rifle, then it's a whole new level of desirable.

Lots of red flags with this one...I suspect a fake.

Hello, someone on ebay and egun offer these zf4 mounts, they are reproduction. Can someone tell me where you can buy them? I heard they come from Poland, maybe someone knows a dealer or buyer? Thank you in advance for your answers .
