PSA STG-44

What would be the point of that though? If one wants to shoot 5.56, get an AR or an HK93. Part of the experience is the 7.92x33.

It's a very interesting cartridge but only one manufacturer of it. I believe it's only PPU and they only do limited supply runs. Part of the enjoyment of owning such a rifle would be the enjoyment of shooting it. And unfortunately that keeps the demand down when you can't get ammunition either.

Reloading is the answer of course.
Same with all obsolete calibers.

But reloading is also becoming more expensive. A good friend of mine just spent four hundred dollars on powder. And it wasn't a large amount either. I personally would like to shoot more 11mm mauser. Unfortunately, I can't get the brass cases.

I have never heard anything positive about products coming out of Hill & Mac so when PSA announced they purchased the STG project I was optimistic, but then they added that the Fat Man from H&M that was blowing smoke on You Tube and Shot Show interviews for several years came along with it. I'm sure PSA could have made this work, simplified by sticking with 7.62x39 and corrected whatever issues they saw. Perhaps they didn't see the market providing a reasonable profit margin even with the alternatives in semi being big $$$$$. Too bad really

I have to say, I have one of their CETME L rifles and it works fine. I did have to repair the rear sight right out of the box as it would not adjust but some Loktite fixed that. Its fit and finish are crude compared to the MarColMar offering but it's just as reliable.

Original Spanish military intact rifle at top, MCM in the middle and HMG at the bottom:

Having said that, I wouldn't pay $10 for their MP44 abomination.

Pretty Cetme L's, I should get one lol.

Besides that, I would not trust HMG at all. Even with their Cetmes.
