FYI, after looking around for an original 10” rod for my early walnut stock RC rifle, I found a listing for vintage 9-3/4” rods at Liberty Tree Collectors for $29. Described as “likely German made for a contract Mauser”, mine came without a serial number and it has about 50% original blue remaining. I received it in a matter of days after ordering, and after cleaning the dirt out of the retained block it screwed right in. While completely useless, it adds a nice look to the rifle vs. a junky reproduction with the wrong threads.
