Standard Modell B-series with renumbered bolt

Ladies and gentlemen, I have been offered this Standard Modell.

It is a B-series rifle built on a scrubbed S/42 1936 receiver. The bolt has been renumbered, the previous number has been scrubbed. However, there are remains of the firing proofs that show that it is also a Standard Modell bolt. The barrel carries full set of BUGN commercial proofs and also an Eagle/63 stamp. It is marked Dö (Sächsische Gußstahlwerke Döhlen), 36 (1936?) and 7,9.

The stock, handguard, triggerguard and floorplate all have matching numbers.

Now, the baffling parts - the receiver has a polished commercial-quality deep blue finish, while the barrel shows military finish. The rear sight has an S/42 stamp and looks like it has originally been a spare part. And, there is a WaA77 stamp on the right side of the barrel as well as on the receiver.

Is it possible that is has been repaired at Radom at some point of its life, or did someone just try to increase its attractivity?

I am hoping someone with more knowledge on these rifles comments, I dont know enough to really comment either way. I can say that it is certainly interesting.

John.

I can’t explain the different finishes on the barrel and receiver, but it looks like the original barrel to me.
I believe the e/77 stamps are fake.
