I'm looking to install a reproduction scope mount on a k98k and was wondering if anyone knows of a good gunsmith that I can ship my rifle to and have them install it. Obviously someone that has done it before and that will inlet the stock as well unless they can manage without inleting.

Are you looking at the adapter or the whole new rear sight base assembly?
With a few tools you can easily replace the rear base. Propane torch, screw driver, leather and brass punches and a mallet is all that is needed. I completed this task on a ZF41 that was sporterized and the rail scrubbed off. Found a replacement rear base and swapped them out. Took less than an hour. I have a post on this rifle somewhere on the forum.
As for the stock, sometimes they will fit without the inlet and sometimes not. But this can also be easily done.
