1937 vz24

This is mostly a czechoslovak export to Japan or China, prewar done, so when in origin condition, its strange why would be there a new WaA63 stamps added, same as the eagle on buttstock is probably wrong there. Any details of bolt serialing. b.r.Andy

Fake stamps. The WaA63 stamps appear to have been struck over pitting, in fact.

It happens to ALOT of people at some point, don't beat yourself up over it. Hopefully you didn't pay alot for it.

Let's drive on. Things like this are why we come to this site. There are several SMEs here who modestly and professionally carry their expertise and knowledge lightly, yet share freely. This is a great place to vet prospective purchases, either publicly with a link, or relatively more privately by PM or email. You'll save alot of money and frustration, and learn alot in the process. Good luck!

Best,
Pat

Yes this is a corect CS Vz.24 bolt for C or P range 1937 rifles, some were chinese or japan character marked on butt. b.r.Andy

probably not so bad, chinese Vz.24 are in this range, i would remove the eagle onb butt, and hammer the WaA 63 out as they are new fakes, in right of the WaA63 was a lion proof similar as on bolt handle, anyway that area was rusted. The bolt is not matching but in range. Reciever are correct with barell and butt.b.r.Andy

..would like to kick the guys a$$ who put fake stamps on it

I hear you. I'm sure there are a lot of guys who've felt that way at one time. Learning and trying not to get screwed again is the best solution. Other than maybe helping to out turds and turd mongers. That's fun!

FWIW, it's worse when they flat out lie to you.
