Today was a great day for mail! Just got my copy of Hitler's Garands that I won for $130 :) I've got some reading to do!

That’s a great price these days. Supposedly a revised and updated version next year but I’m yet to see any pre-order information from Darren Weaver.

It is. I got lucky! I’ve heard about the updated version as well and have read old forum posts about it, but have yet to hear anything new.
 
Definitely a must have for people that have or are interested in these rifles. So much good information.
 
It really is. And, it’s the only thing out there on these and I’m grateful to have mine. However; Weaver is coming out with a new book on these......someday.
 
I sold my copy some months back once I heard a new one is pretty much guaranteed. People will pay stupid prices now, but come next fall it’ll be hard to give away.

Agreed. I sold mine a year or so ago too. I found after a read through the book wasn’t much help for any question out of the basic category. Not enough dayasheets or trends to really assist a collector. Also black and white is tough for any type of bluing or wood study. In its day though it was likely great!

When I spoke to Mr Weaver at Tulsa he indicated the revised work will be two volumes due to the amount
of new info that has been amassed.
