I picked up this CE 43 K98 k today for 400. its non matching, and appears it was a russian capture, but its in great condition. let me know what you think and how much you think its worth. this is NOT a Mitchells mauser, dont worry. and the sling and bayonet are repos. Nice Rifle. If the bore is excellent then you are a little ahead in relation to value and how much you paid. JP Sauer & Sohn (CE) was no slouch in 43, so it's a fairly common code RC. With the repro sling and bayo, and if the bore is excellent I would say $450-475 for the package is a good deal. RC's are no longer cheap.

Awesome, yea the bore is in GREAT shape, it looks brand new honestly. i havent gotten a picture of it yet but i sure will someitme

hey thanks! this is awesome, i wish there was some way to look up the history, find out who had it, what unit and that. anyone know of anything? or was that not recorded?

I feel you. Keep in mind that your rifle is an RC. It has been assembled and mixedmastered from a ton of k98ks and German utilized large ring 98 rifles. Practically each part of your rifle was used by a different individual and time frame....

yea very true. itd be nice if there was some way to know tho, i know with SS daggers they supposedly have records for people. ive tried a few times doing research on people in my family that were in WW2, and its hard to even get any info sadly
