Imperial German Mauser M1914 Rig

I finally got my first Imperial German gun and while it was a Mauser, it was not the Mauser I was expecting. The Imperial marking wasn't disclosed in the listing and I figured I'd go for it if it was cheap enough (which for $450, I'd say it was). The grips have unfortunately been rebordered and refinished but the rest of the pistol is in nice condition and the spare magazine and 1918 dated holster is the cherry on top. I do quite appreciate the rich blue on the trigger and extractor, neat touches in my eyes. Still on the fence about picking up another set of grips for it just for display and use on the range, seems like a shame that the grips are the only thing bringing this one down.

Internals are all matching as far as I could determine on this one. The grip is marked with an "A" on the inside, not sure the meaning of it but internal inspection is my guess.

Holster and mags, both mags are unmarked and unnumbered which appears to be correct for this serial number range on these from what I've read online. The holster has a red inkstamp on the inside that I can only partially make out, which I read as "7A Lederwerke Offenbachum - Sond--". Can't quite make it out as the stitching and the angle it's at obscure the rest but still cool.

Nice rig,

You stole that for $450. A nice set of original grips will come along
Thanks! I hope a nice set of grips doesn't take too long to come along. Looking forward to taking this one to the range, I must be the only person who goes out of their way to buy .32 ACP at the LGS.

Nice.

I owned one, up until a couple years ago, when I sold it off. Wish I had held onto it.

(And) Nah, I buy .32 ammo also. CZ-27, etc.
