I finally got my first Imperial German gun and while it was a Mauser, it was not the Mauser I was expecting. The Imperial marking wasn't disclosed in the listing and I figured I'd go for it if it was cheap enough (which for $450, I'd say it was). The grips have unfortunately been rebordered and refinished but the rest of the pistol is in nice condition and the spare magazine and 1918 dated holster is the cherry on top. I do quite appreciate the rich blue on the trigger and extractor, neat touches in my eyes. Still on the fence about picking up another set of grips for it just for display and use on the range, seems like a shame that the grips are the only thing bringing this one down.
