    No, it is sure that it wasn't a resistance capture. My place saw heavy fighting between American troops and German troops in november 1944. It was in occupied Elsass-Lothringen. No resistance there unfortunately.

    It was found in my grandpa's farm in LORRAINE after his death a couple of years ago. The bolt mismatch was a common thing.

    Dear friends, here's my plain jane K98 BYF43 from FRANCE. It's a "E" block. It's an all matching except the bolt, which I guess was made by ERMA. Feel free to comment! The rifle was found as is, it was hidden under a sink.
