Hi All,

Things have continued to be extremely busy on my end, so apologies for the sporadic postings. I am woefully behind on disassembly and posting of my acquisitions...

Here's one I picked up about 6 months ago. It's a very clean and crisp Danzig 1911 Kar98a with some honest wear, but that's about it.

SNs are all matching, but sadly not unit marked. The stock has a repaired dufflecut and the handguard an unrepaired one.

Nice 98a Chris. A good example of one of these is on my short list. They are neat rifles. Awesome piece of wood on this example

Great score Chris. Even with the repaired dufflecut and the handguard unrepaired.
It looks to be in great condition for its ago and being a pre-WWI Kar98a. Another great example for the collection.

I found this interesting because it is the first use of script SR (Kar.98) noted in trends, prior it was block lettering, - also this is an exceptional example and not many are this nice, though Danzig was the largest pre-war maker of the 98s, really nice ones are not common.

Thanks everyone for the kind words-- it definitely stood out condition-wise. Only knock is lack of a unit mark, but the good shape more than makes up for that.
