1937 S/176 all matching, no sharpening, rare, but is it $1500.00 rare? Blade has most of blue, in and out marks mainly. pommel little rusty and scabbard has a lot of rust on lower portion. Not mine just wondering how rare it is.

37 s176

Some kind of scam going on with that piece. It was posted on eBay for a week. It sat at $85 for most of the week, and on the last day, two zero (0) feedback bidders ran the price up to $1225 dollars. Only one or two days later, it is posted again at $1500 Buy It Now. I do not believe it is worth $1500. It was not worth the 1225 it closed for last time or it would be sold and gone.

I suspect the seller used several different accounts to run the price up. The seller has only 4 feedbacks.

It did receive an $899 bid by a real bidder. If I was the seller, I would contact that bidder and try to make a deal. I was surprised it went over 500.

P.Weyersberg is not rare and the condition is not extra good storage when look at pommel and scabbard rust, certainly its overpriced.b.r.Andy

Hello Sir,
I don't agree. Paul Weyersberg 37 with S / 176 code is quite rare.
But the price is not justified !
Best regards Aws

I mean the production of PWCo, the S176, 1937 could be declared as scarcer of the maker, anyway in this condition probably certainly not worth even 35% of the summa.b.r.Andy.
