44 fnj/can bayonet

Now, it's favorite item in my collection, 44 fnj with matching numbers and a full marked CAN scabbard. Bayonet is in very good condition!

Sure is. I’ve had all the 44s twice over and no CAN scabbard

I’ve never even had a SHOT at a CAN scabbard!!

There is problem to find some with clear can stamp, as many were weak stamped and in complete finish overstamped with 44fnj on same place.

Mine is 8753 f with wood grips. A much more difficult variant to find with the August Wallmeyer scabbard than the better known Horster w/rivet grips.

Beutiful piece, Thank you for sharing. I hate you with Envy, As I have looked for 20 years now and have not found a CAN scabbard or matching set for my collection. I think I missed an Ebay auction about 15 years ago on one.

Interesting that those bayonets in the "f" bloc seem to be sporting wood grips and have a dull, somewhat matte finish, yet in the "g" block we see a return to phenolic grips and a darker, blued finish...
