Hey guys i just bought a Yugo Refurb K98, upon reassembling the rifle after cleaning the cosmoline i screwed in the capture screw for the front trigger guard bolt and the head snapped off:facepalm: I was very surprised as i only hand tightened it. The screw is so small is there any way of backing it out to replace? I tried researching it, but i have not seen anyone else with this problem which surprised me with how easily the head of the screw popped off.

Pull out the trigger guard and see if you can drill it out from the back side.

It's a lock screw. These will happen. You have to be very careful with them as when this is done in a $2000 rifle it sucks. The best way to handle this if you haven't or aren't tool savvy is bring it to a gunsmith (a real one) and give him $30 to back it out with a broken screw removal tool. You can try to grip it and twist it out with needle nose pliers, but that is probably not going to work. A real gunsmith has dealt with this as they deal with tiny screws.
