Guys if you guys can report your serials for Gustloff LSR rifles would be appreciated.
From the ones I am aware of the LSR at Gustloff was a very late 1944 project and was
most likely transferred to Gustloff by the HWa when production ended at Sauer late that year.

Hopefully you guys can help me verify this assumption.

Also if you have any compiled lists you can email them if you could share the data.

Thanks,
Bruce

Current thread

Thats great info and thanks for posting.
As you can see, all of this happens in the late 5-digit series of late 1944 and 1945 production.

I just imagined how would have looked like if all snipers from nigromontanus list would be in one collection :googlie . But Bruce, in his list are also some 4 digit and even one 3 digit serial number rifle.

This database is compiled not only on known guns, but also on isolated mounts with and without scopes and on isolated cans as well. Interestingly only 6 SN are from my collection, even though I have listed more bcd serials than ce. In my (shorter) ce database 12 come from my collection. So conclusion is: bcd guns were issued rather to westfront, ce guns rather to Ostfront.

Bruce : Gustloff BCD 4 # 6681 late eagle proof bonderized finish with mixed blued parts. Has late crude bolt and gas shield with key safety. Would really classify this as a 45 made rifle. My other is a BCD 4 Eagle 37 Sauer # 2680 x pictured in your other book, but now with correct X mount and DKL scope . best Dave

Luft 1 post

Luft1 posted a 'w' block and I would bet its a JP Sauer assembled rifle.
Check the receiver top acceptance stamp if you are following this thread...likely its E/37.

Dead on, Bruce. bcd 4 code, matching optics, and a teenie, tiny E37
