A few helmets. I am still doing some research on values. Just showing here, not asking for values.
1st is Q68. Liner string not original. Ron

Tanker1,

All are in superb condition. Thanks for showing. What size is the Picklehaub?

Mike J

Hello mike
Thank you. Not sure what size (other than small) it is. The only stamping is the date 1916 and the round depot(?) stamp.
Ron

Thank you gentleman.
The only one I have not been able to assess a current value is the pickelhaube, so if any body has info on it I would appreciate it. Thanks, Ron

Well, I'd recommend at the very least posting up the items on the WTS for the guys here who commented and assisted. You sold your bayonet for as much or more than you would have gotten on epay, and there would have been a deduction on epay for their fee. Auctions can be hit or miss and epay is going to force you to use Payscam and take their own lick. I sell direct to fellow collectors and as a result have gotten good prices, had them reciprocate on other deals, not had to deal with random idiots from auctions, always gotten paid, not had to deal with incessant stupid questions, not had to pay vig to auction houses. Just my thoughts.

I know.I did not say I was going to put them up on auction. I just said it appears that is where the most dollars would be. My bayonet was worth every penney of what I sold it for . I did sell it to a fellow collector for less than what it was advertised for. Date, condition and maker was well worth it. Ron

Sometimes auctions don't yield the best prices though Tanker. Add on top of that fees and BS. I've watched mint nice bayonets sit at auction unsold for months when the reserve was set up too high and I've scored nice stuff when there wasn't much bidding. I don't mess with ebay much anymore. Never found I got that great of prices and never got that great of deals either. Do something with "Rock Island" and they skin you for around 20-33% plus other "fees".
