Hinsoldt-wetzlar 4x scope repair

I have a pre-war Hinsoldt-wetzlar 4x scope that is in relative condition that I have attached to a yugo m48BO for hunting purposes but also for the "ww2 german sniper aesthetic. My question specifically is there a way to seal up this scope so it can be more "waterproof"?

I'm guessing your talking about hunting purposes in the rain. Sometimes simple is the best way to go. Go to the dollar store and pick up one or two plastic shower caps. They go on/off your scope without a sound, fast and the scope will be waterproof.

I just bought a couple sets of cheap scope caps, the kind attached by elastic strings for $1 @ my LGS junk box, fit my pellet gun scope & Pecar scope on my fake HT sniper, perhaps worth a look……
