How to disassemble Walther Sportmodell

Need help on how to disassemble Walther Sportmodell

Hi all. I've been a longtime member but this is my first post. I have a Walther Sportmodell and I cannot figure how to remove the front band and disassemble it. The bolt is not a problem. I just don’t want to damage anything. Also is the finish on the piece in front of the sight looks odd. Is that correct

All you should have to do to remove the front band is unscrew the stacking rod. It acts as the "keeper". Should come right off the front. Second band is most likely pinned in place. Knock out pin and that one should come off. Disassembling the rest should just involve removing the two screws underneath the action. Best. dj
