I’m back in the saddle again

After a much too lengthy absence, and an embarrassing dearth of K98k’s, I purchased this dou44 (transitional Kriegsmodell) on Gun Broker from one our respected senior members. Czech Mausers are my thing, so this is a perfect fit. Here is one photo, more later. I had to use a link because my photo, while very nice, is apparently the size of Nebraska.

I have been told that ImageShack has that option. But let me tell you, using ImageShack with an ipad is an almighty trial. Many of their options do not appear. Could be me I suppose, but I have tried.

The serial number 9597cc indicates it was manufactured in the October 1944 timeframe. Bayo lug is present, but hole is not drilled for cleaning rod.
