Importing rifle stock from Europe help

Hey all! Hopefully this is the right forum.

I just found myself a postwar refurb East German K98 stock across the pond. After purchasing via eBay I figured all was well but have spooked myself reading accounts of seized stocks from Poland and the like on gun boards.
Should I spend the time to fill out a form 6 and wait for the ATF to get it back to me? Does it even matter? Can the seller declare $99.99 and we can forget all about it?

Any help would be appreciated!

While not particularly apropos in this instance, I'm reminded of the old adage "easier to ask forgiveness than permission".

If you bought a container of stocks, certainly. But on a single piece, who knows? You might get lucky.
