K98 Sling with Rivets?

Came with a trainer.... not a sling expert... what am I looking at here?

Bruce posted on a similar sling on 9/12/22, but w/keeper. sorry, my fat fingers wouldn’t work to paste the link.
I’ll never get why they used the keeper at all, the hook on the trainer is SO much simpler!
