It is always interesting to see what passed inspection in 1944/45. When I pulled the blade out of the scabbard, I thought some idiot had nicked the blade a couple of times. Upon close inspection, it is actually factory work.:laugh:

Hi Ryan,

I have had a couple of AB44's and they both had those machine markings on them. I think I still have the "g" block that has them.

Super nice find. I wish mine were in that shape.
 
Outstanding late Mundlos with their characteristic circular machining marks on the obverse ricasso. With an approximate run of only 70,000 pieces in 1944 this is a tough late war maker to find. Especially in the condition seen here and in the links. Very nice guys ......
