Late War CAD scope

I bought a CAD scope with the alloy sunshade with 2 drain holes and a 1-8 meter dial. The reticule is a standard cross hair. The serial # is 46764. The scope looks new. I can't see any evidence of any type of rings that may have been soldered on the tube. It functions well. It does not have any grease marking that I can see. It was sold as being refinished and the reticule changed.

There is a small plate on the bottom where the larger screw is attached. The 4 edges are finished and it is soldered to the scope tube. Looks like it belongs there.

It is a fairly late scope and after doing some investigation,I think the reticule it has could be original.

Regards, Al

original sniper scope which has seen turret mounts taken off, with postwar commercial use reticule changed and postwar commercial taken off again.

Thanks for letting me know that. My expertise is limited. I have an extra 3 post Kahles reticule I can put in and an extra set of Roberts HT mounts. It will make
a good scope and mounts for a repro HT for somebody.

There are Cad Scopes in the 46XXX Serial Range that were Originally Produced with Cross Hair Reticules . This subject has been discussed in the past here . Best Regards

Crosshair Reticule

I have a cross hair reticule on my matching High Turret. CAD Scope serial is 46XXX. All original and not messed with.

I remember that. So the reticule might be as issued and should thus not be changed. However, we will never know.

Here is a picture for your info. See previous post above. Scope has crosshair reticule.
