I like the Weimar period and have owned two or three WWI rifles. A while back I was offered a receiver only of a 1925 Simson rifle, bought it. Then found a sporterized 1925 and bought it.
I am a Simson collector, but for pistols. Have a mismatched 1925, a matching except mag 1926 and sn 701, right after they quit dating them. Plus a DDR Simson.

Questions include, why did they quit dating Simsons in 1926? Had to be the first few months.
For the 1925, I have assumed late year production, but rifles are dated 1924, and a good number of 1925's.
I need to buy the rifle book, I know I have the Kriegs marine book, but obviously not the rifle, did not know about it.

Glad to learn from y'all

Welcome. not sure the answers you seek but I collect parts for 1934-45 k98's but inadvertently ended up with a few small e/6 Simson parts. if you're looking for some odds and ends send me a pm. No large components, just small parts.
