Locking Screw question

Hello,
I am wondering if there were different styles of lock screws used. I have a BYF 43 with round head screws and I have a depot unmarked receiver that has the usual half moon cut out screws. The half moon ones are the style I always see. Are the ones in my all numbers matching byf43 correct? Thanks for any help.
Here’s a couple pics.
First pic is the byf

Yes the simplified screws are already around in this timeframe. The one in your depot is likely replaced as it is technically wrong, that’s a rear lock screw seeing as it has a beveled relief cut. What’s your depot, always nice to see interesting rifles?

Thank you for the info. I’m pretty new to the k98 mauser world so I appreciate all I can learn. So the beveled relief cut screws were only used to lock in the rear? I always thought they were used in front and rear. My depot is kind of a mix of things. A few of the s/n are matching but that’s about it. Non matching stock that is a duffle cut repair. Spare/replacement barrel I think. Has a few depot stamps, Zala5 or Zaua5 stamp maybe not positive, and a non marked receiver.

Many folks new to Mausers, as well as many vendors, don't know the difference in the lock screws. The early lock screw notches are different front and rear due to the angles they are mounted in the triggerguard in relation to the action screws that they secure. The later screws without the notch are the same for front and rear. Here are photos of the difference...

Alright so here are the front and rear on the byf43. Should the rear lock screws be the beveled style and the front be the round screw no bevel? Were the full round headed style ever used on both front and rear?
Here’s pics of front and rear.

My photos only show the difference of the front and rear early style lock screws. Yours are the correct, simplified style for 43 on. No difference front or rear for those. Eventually, the lock screws got deleted entirely.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. It is supposedly a vet bring back and everything that I can tell is matching and correct but I was curious about those little screws lol. Thanks again.
