Looking to get my first K98

I found this "Sauer CE 41". I tried referencing the pictures that are on the K98k forum, but I just wanna make sure and see what you guys think.

Ad description: Nice vintage Sauer k98. All matching numbers inside and out except for the correct bolt. Bolt matches itself including firing pin and extractor. Original stock and handguard are stamped matching in the barrel channel. Perfect working order, smooth action. Headspace checked out just right. I put several hundreds of Yugo m75 surplus ammo through it with zero problems. This rifle is very accurate considering less than pristine bore, with average groups of 1,5-2 moa fired from improvised rest at 100 meters. No doubt with careful handload it would do even better. NOT import stamped. Made in 1941.

Thanks for any help

PS: I noticed the price for minimum bid has dropped from $1250 to $850 to $750 in the last three days.

The listing has a reserve, so no telling how high you’ll have to bid to actually win. Probably why the seller keeps bumping down the opening bid - because it’s not selling and he’s trying to lure bidders.

The rifle itself looks good to my less than expert eyes. However the bolt certainly doesn’t match itself. It’s been ground to holy hell and restamped.

Yea I thougt maybe for the right price I could just replace the bolt with one that’s already matching for the right price, but then again maybe it’s a sign not to buy it.

Bolt looks good to me, it's not grinded. Those are machining marks. The silver line towards the bottom is a wear mark from where it hits the receiver when opening the bolt. A lot of bolts have this and normally if it were grinded, this line would not be there.
