I finally tracked down a G41(W) that, although a SN mixmaster, looks to be in decent shape. Only thing is, it was missing its bayo lug and I know they're like hen's teeth...very expensive hen's teeth....to try and locate. But I think I did, from an overseas seller for not that bad a price. Now just crossing my fingers that the sale goes through and he can ship stateside with no issues!
So, not knowing much about G41s, what should I look for to make sure all the rest of it is all there and operable? Any good reading recommendations (aside from 'buy a copy of Hitler's Garands for $350!")? Any oddities or known issues like the G43's overpowered gas system? Does anyone shoot these? And, I'm almost afraid to ask, what is the 'going rate' on a 'rack grade' range gun that isn't matching? Thanks!
