New to the forum here, I've been combing through the Picture Reference Index. Man, there are some gorgeous rifles on there!
I'm not a collector, but I bought an M98/48 with a decent bore a few weeks ago. I've been trying to identify the stock on it, and although I think it's walnut, I'd really appreciate a more educated opinion(s).
Since this is most certainly *not* a collector's item (mismatched serials, pretty much scrubbed of Waffenamt markings, all beat up, etc.,), I was wondering if it is OK to post a few pictures of it. And if so, which area of the forum would be the correct place to do so?
