Simply Spectacular...

I am speechless... simply beautiful, another spectacular example from the Grist Museum :thumbsup:

How about some closeups of the box strap with the snap hooks... too rare for most us us to ever see one up close and personal!

Thanks for posting Bill!:hail::hail::hail:

Awesome Rifle Bill! Thank you for posting and sharing. :thumbsup:

As always, you post great items for our viewing pleasure. All matching duv/qve snipers are tough to find!

Stock looks like it has had some stain applied at one point. Much like I have seen on other QVE's in similar condition. I always wondered if it was done at the factory, when issued or post war GI applied.

I know a blonde stock in the field stands out like crazy, and I would bet the first thing the soldier did was put someting on that stock to tone it down a bit.

Yes, this part of the forum seems to been taking a nap lately.

Wow, that’s in amazing condition!

The photo flash almost makes it look like the mount was blued after the rifle number was applied, but that’s not the case of course given the '765' was applied using a pantograph machine and will show no finish in the recesses. The first time I saw a photo of one of these BLM mounts, I initially thought the numbers were stamped as they are so different from the Walther slant-style and generally more neatly applied.
