Rifle Identification?

This rifle appears to have a 2 piece stock (although you need to enlarge the pic to tell). Maybe I am wrong, but if it is a 2 pc. stock , any idea what it is?

Danke...As you can tell, I am on a quest to find more period pics of g98/40's. I know there are more of them out there somewhere!

I think it is a 98/40, butt is attached at grip, rear bridge is too long for a Mauser. Blade of grass too far back on stock to mean anything.
 
I almost forgot about that picture. Now that I can view/expand it on a larger screen, it still appears to be a K98k to me. I can see the bolt take down ferrule to the rear of the sling slot cut-out.

On another note, there's nothing like pipe smoke to give away your position...
