Hello fellas,

This came along with my 1940 "42" Luftwaffe K98 I posted today.
I can barely make out the frog but see 1939 there. Any info on this
manufacture bayonet and frog is greatly appreciated. No other markings
on there I can see. Thank you.

The bayonet was made by Elite Diamantwerke of Siegmar-Schönau bei Chemnitz. This is an early S Coded piece with the G suffix indicting the year of manufacture as 1935. The grip scales are replacements as they would have originally been hardwood. Both the bayonet and scabbard appear to have been dipped or reblued at some point. The frog marking is LAGESA > DRESDEN > 1939 for the Landes-Lieferungs-Genossenschaft der Sattler of Dresden.

I'm not complaining. It came with my L K98. So far,
I'm way ahead of the game for sure.
 
All was correctly mentioned by Slash, the blueing has a good color, could be done by refurbish in war period, in same time could be replaced wood grips, should be probably reserialed by assembly nr.inside of grip.b.r.Andy
