Was just wondering, I recently saw a 1939 dated K98 bayo with a very nicely inset - circular SS emblem (just like what one would see on a SS dagger handle) mounted across the middle of the handle. It looks very nicely done and not amateur at all. It is in a MM scabbard but has a SS marked 1942 or 43 dated frog.
Sorry no pic's but was just wondering if anyone has seen anything like this - out there?
